The morning that the first background was started, upon the first canvas, the voice of the "Old People of the Onemob, my ancestors, your ancestors, our ancestors rang loudly in my ears. They told me I was going "home to Dorrigo" and as I was living near Bega on the south coat of NSW at the time I thought they were teasing me.
For the next few hours as I painted they continued to say to me....."You goin home to Dorrigo, You goin home to Dorrigo." Even though I was hearing what they were saying, I wasn't listening, that was till what happened next.
The next morning as I was painting there were no more words, nothing but a quiet silence and I thought "hmmm maybe I was hearing things" and laughed but the laughter was soon replaced by what I saw. An Elder who I love and respect came to me in a vision, danced and sung me home. Now the "Old People" had my complete attention. I was "home" in Dorrigo 3 months later, opened a gallery and was back on country. I had listened with my heart.
I contemplated the journey and story of these paintings and that of my journey "home. I let go of thought and allowed my heart to speak and listen.
The "Old People" shared with me that when they first spoke of me "coming home" I was hearing them but not listening with my heart, that the next part of my story was to unfold and be created back "home" in Dorrigo. I am so glad I listened with my heart.
They also shared with me that too many people hear but don't listen with their hearts to the story of their own journey, to the story of others and as an individual, as a family, as a community, as a nation and as children of our Mother the Earth we are losing connection to self, to that of each other and our connection to the Mother our "Home."
My story, your story and our stories are important, to be respected and "Listened to with your Heart."

Below, is more information on the paintings in my 2014 show which opened on October the 17th 2014 in Canberra, Australia.
An Exhibition of Art, an expression of Feelings, Emotions and Thoughts.
A journey that took and still takes me forwards, backwards, inwards and outwards.
The Exhibition came about from a memory that has stirred deep within my “Being” for a very long time. In 2012 I attended an Indigenous Gathering in Lillooet, B.C, Canada. It was here that the memories deep within found their voice and communicated with me not only in words and in feelings but also in many visions of Art.
Within these paintings you will find a fraction of what has been spoken and shown to me. It is in the hope that they will speak to you of your journey.
That they hang in front of you is my gift to you as the stories, the visions and energy they brought into my Life and my Journey was a gift given to me by the Ancestors and the Creator.

1 – “Sitting with the Grandmothers & Grandfathers – One Mob Dreaming” :
This painting shows the Energy within a “Sweat Lodge” I was blessed to be a part of whilst in Lillooet, B.C, Canada in 2012 during a gathering of Indigenous Peoples.
Within the circle of the “Sweat” we see the fire of the Grandmothers & Grandfathers, our Ancestors, a rainbow of Love energy. It’s flow outward is shown as a White Light with Golden 11/7 of “Unconditional Love” to all that sit within the “sweat”.
The many colours that surround are the Energies of those who sit within fore we sit as “One”. The Green signifies what the “Sweat” is constructed from, the branches of trees and soil, all a gift from the “Mother”.
The Outside colours are a symbolism of the Loving state that surrounded this blessed experience.
You see the White Light with its Golden message flowing not only within the “sweat” but also from outside to within the Sacred Circle.

2 – “Spirit Dance – One Mob Dreaming”:

3 – “Strength within Structure - One Mob Dreaming”:
After my experience at Lillooet, B.C, Canada in 2012 the “whispering voice on the breeze within my soul” gained volume and sung of a time long, long, ago when we all belonged to “One Mob, One Tribe, One People”. The “Redman, the Blackman, the Yellowman and the Whiteman” all existing together as “One Mob”.
This painting shows structure within each “Mob” as they come together around the circle of life, the Brown of our “Mother”. Each “Mob” has a similarity and a difference to their unique structure to that of the other “Mob’s” though they are all joined by the Energy of the “Divine Love” shown here with the colour Blue.
Surrounding this “sitting together as One” are the many people’s shown in spirit form moving within the “Divine Love” towards and becoming a part of the “One Mob” a part of the “All”…….Peace Love and Light.

4 – “Year of the Snake – One Mob Dreaming”:
Snakes mean many different things in many cultures and unbeknown to me at the time this painting took form it was the “Chinese Year of the Snake”.
Each Snake has the colour of each of the four “Mobs”, Red, Black, Yellow and White. There are two snakes for each “Mob”, a duality, a Ying/Yang, Female/Male or an indication of two directions. Upon each Snake, is also the colours representing the other “Mobs” to show the connection between us all. Each Snake is surrounded by the colour Blue to show the “Divine Love” energy that flows both around us, through us and within us.
Surrounding the Snakes upon the Brown of the “Mother” are dots representing the peoples of each “Mob” connected by the Blue “Divine Love” and also the Gold of the “Golden Light of the All”. Also you see lines representing each “Mob” showing different directions, also connected by the Blue and Gold.
What is being portrayed here is that no matter your “Mob” or what direction your journey takes you we are still all connected. As “One Mob”…….Peace, Love and Light.

5 – “Within the Night Sky – One Mob Dreaming”:
This painting portrays the Red, Black, Yellow and White of the “Four Tribes – One Mob” forming together in the night sky as constellations within the “Heavens”.
Sitting one night in the bush where I had the privilege to be living at the time. I looked up to the stars, their eternal beauty shining high above. I cried tears of joy and of sadness as my soul remembered its home.
As this was happening, a comforting energy surrounded me and moved within as the Ancestors spoke to me…….“as is above, so it can be below”. I felt the love of the Ancestors and of the “Divine” flow within me, through me into the “Mother”.
Then I remembered the love of the “Divine” (above) can also exist, does exist here (below) as we come together as “One Mob” within…….Peace, Love and Light.

It sits well within me, my belief we are all “children of the stars” and we, our energy/spirit came to live on this Earth when our “Mother” was ready to receive us and it is back to the stars we, our energy/spirit returns upon our death.
(Please note: that this a small part of what I hold true to me, my journey. I hold within the deepest respect to the views and beliefs of others on this subject. Allan.)
In this painting we see the energies of the Red, Black, Yellow and Whiteman, Four tribes – One Mob all journeying together, spiraling through Time and Space as “One”.
Or is the “One Mob” all journeying back to, as “One”? Just like moving in a circle, “we come from” but at the same time “we are going back to”. I believe we all journey together as energy within the spirit and the “Light of the Creator”, our “Light”.

7 – “Sitting as One All are Equal – One Mob Dreaming”:
On a background of colour that represents an energetic/spirit state where all is stripped away and we are only left with the duality of “Being”. The “Light and the Dark” of our true “Being”.
Around the black centre, where all goes to and all comes from, sits two representatives, Female/Male, from each of the “Four Tribes” stripped of all states of “Being” except for their light and darkness within. Sitting as “One”. Next we see an outer circle of 8 spirits sitting within their light and darkness. Again another 8 spirits within their light and darkness sit with the others as “One”.
With White showing the “Light” and Black for the “Darkness” we see each spirit being at “One with their own Light and Darkness” and thus being at “One” with the others.
All are connected, All are Equal and All are One. “One Mob Dreaming”........within the Peace, the Love and the Light.

8 – “Sea of Souls – One Mob Dreaming”:
How beautiful is the soul that exists within the “Eternal Love of the All”. How beautiful is the soul that knows not the “Eternal Love of the All”. Then tastes for the first time, this “Eternal Love” and remembers that it too is and always was the “Eternal Love”.
The “Eternal Love of the All” is the Sea/Ocean that our souls exist within. It cleanses, nurtures, guides, allows and loves unconditionally. Here we see the Blue of the “Eternal Love of the All” cleansing, nurturing, guiding, allowing and loving unconditionally the souls that exists within and are the love.
“Eternal Love of the All”, for all, “One Mob Dreaming”…….of the Peace, the Love and the Light.

9 – “Divine Conception – One Mob Dreaming “:
Within this painting we see a moment from long, long ago. The moment when all the “Divine Energies” came together with the “Body of the Mother” and brought the “Four Tribes” together as “One Mob”.
Sitting upon the “circle of Life” we see each Tribe – the Red, Black, Yellow and Whiteman. Within and surrounding each Tribe is the Blue of “Divine Love” with the “Golden energy of the All”. Between each Tribe is the Green of the “Mother” also receiving the Blue of “Divine Love” and the “Golden energy of the All”. On each side of the “Mother” we see her receiving the energy of each Tribe riding on the green of “Growth”.
On each side of the Tribes and connecting to the energy being sent to the “Mother” by each Tribe is the Pink of “The Grandmothers” offering their “Unconditional Love” energy to both each Tribe and the “Mother”. From the “Mother” we see the “Unconditional Love” of the Grandmothers of the four directions – the East, the West, the South and the North sending their energies to that which is being created. Again and as always surrounded in the “Golden Light Of the All”.
The Magenta colour that surrounds and is also within symbolises the blood that flows within each person, in each Tribe. “One blood One Mob”. We see each Tribe sending their unique energies to the center of the ‘circle of Life” it too is being carried within, a part of the “Divine Love” and the “Golden Light of the All” to create…….“One Mob” within……the Peace, the Love and the Love.

10 – “Healing the Fractures – One Mob Dreaming”:
Long, long ago the “Four Tribes – One Mob” separated and went their own ways. One to the East, one to the West, one to the South, one to the North and slowly as many years passed they forgot their connection to each other, to the “Mother” and to the “Creator”. There were and still are those who remember, who teach, who share and keep the connection flowing waiting for the time when the “Four Tribes return to the “One Mob”.
As so much time has passed, much pain and suffering has occurred within and towards each tribe. Our mother has also suffered and cries out in pain to what each tribe is doing to her.
This painting symbolises the many fractures that have been created between each person, each Tribe, upon the “Mother” and the fractures that are within ourselves. On top of these fractures, just as we place healing salve to a wound, are the “Four Tribes” coming back together, returning to be as one. To bring healing to each person, to each Tribe and to our “Mother”.

“As Night gives way to the Sun for its return so does Darkness returns back to the Light.”
In these times of Global suffering a “New Dawn” arises. A flickering of Light that brings hope, promise and “new/old” energies to the “Mother” and all that exist upon and within her.
At the center of this “New Dawn Rising” we find the “Four Tribes” have returned back to the “One Mob” creating a sun of “Golden Light of the All”. Within and surrounding the “Golden Light” we find the Blue of “Divine Love” working as one with the “Golden Light”. Also we see that the “Four Tribes” working and being as “One” send out the 11/7 of “Unconditional Love” in the colours of their Tribe to the “Mother” and all that exist upon and within her.
This Sun is also heralding a “New Dawn Rising” within our own “Darkness” so our “Golden Light of the All” becomes the “Golden Light of One Mob Dreaming……..One Peace, One Love, One Light.
